P&N Rogers Electrical Contractors Pty Ltd (ABN 83 270 753 325) ("P&N Rogers", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What personal information we collect

We collect only the information we need to provide our services. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

• your name, phone number, email address and postal or site address;
• details of your property, project or enquiry, including building plans, electrical layouts and selections;
• information needed to connect and meter your power supply and to set up your energy account, such as meter and connection details;
• details needed to install, configure or support systems we supply, such as security, alarm, CCTV, intercom, automation, air conditioning and solar systems;
• invoicing and payment information; and
• records of our communications with you.

We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health information, unless it's needed and you agree to provide it.

How we collect it

We collect personal information:

• directly from you, including through our website contact form, by phone or email, and in person at our showroom;
• from your builder or developer when we're engaged on your new home or project; and
• from other third parties, such as energy retailers or the electricity distributor, where needed to complete your work.

Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiries and book consultations and showroom appointments;
• prepare quotes and designs;
• carry out, manage and complete electrical and related work;
• arrange mains power connection and metering, and energy account setup;
• provide after-sales support, warranty service and product information, such as user manuals;
• issue invoices and manage payments; and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations, such as issuing electrical safety certificates.

Who we share it with

We only share your personal information where it's required in the course of our business, including with:

• builders and developers involved in your project;
• energy retailers and the electricity distributor, for energy account setup, mains connections and metering;
• affiliated service providers who help us with quoting and design, or who supply, install or support products we provide;
• regulatory and government bodies where required by law, for example for compliance and safety certificates; and
• providers of the business systems we use, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) and IT systems, who store information on our behalf.

We require these parties to handle your information only for the purpose it was provided. We do not sell your personal information.

Some of our service providers, such as cloud-based software providers, may store information on servers outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Our website

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter (your name, email, phone number, suburb, enquiry type and message) and use them only to respond to your enquiry.

Our website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. This helps us improve the website; it doesn't identify you personally. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies.

Our site also uses Google Maps and Google Fonts, which may collect technical information such as your IP address when they load.

Marketing

We'll only send you marketing communications if you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. When we no longer need it, we destroy or de-identify it, unless we're required by law to keep it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If we can't give you access, we'll tell you why.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We'll respond within 30 days.
